Beta Log #1
Beta is chugging along, and we're busy shipping exciting features!
Let's take a look at a few of the updates we've made to both the mobile and TV apps.
Exploratory Content
Last week we released DRIVE // LAP 2 by Dave Krugman as our first exploratory collection within White Walls. We gave every single user the ability to appreciate all 333 cars in their homes, while simultaneously updating our X profile design to match the DRIVE branding.
This full scale campaign was a proof of concept, introducing the idea of making additional content available for White Walls users, beyond their owned assets.
The effort was a massive success, and we are so thrilled for the future of Exploratory Content in White Walls. Just wait 'til you see what we've got coming next!
SVG Support (v1)
We've officially unlocked the next filetype! This is exciting, as some of our absolute favorite works are SVGs. We have a long ways to go to truly activate SVGs in full, but the v1 update is a great start.
Here's what works: Any works rendered as a native SVG file [Autoglyphs, Checks, Squiggly, Nouns]
Here's what doesn't work (yet): SVGS wrapped in HTML pages [Terraforms, Native Art Blocks Outputs]
We'll continue to iterate on this and make SVG and dynamic art support better as time goes on. Standby!
Atomic Form QRs
The QR Code found on our Info Panels lead to Opensea throughout Alpha and into the early Beta. This was simply a placeholder, and we've put a lot of thought into what the perfect destination would be.
We wanted it to be a responsible landing place, for users to learn more and enrich their lives with the information they sought to learn, but also find context beyond what may be expected.
After hearing high praise from countless early users and friends, we dove deep into Atomic Form to learn what they were all about.
We'll release more information soon and chat a bit more about why we chose Atomic Form as our QR code partners, but for now, go scan a few QR codes and enjoy the new experience!
It is our hope that more creators begin to utilize Atomic Lore, and White Walls can drive more traffic to this incredible contextualization tool!
QOL Updates & Bug Fixes
We're always updating and fixing things behind the scenes. Nothing wildly exciting to write about here, but we've had quite a few quality of life updates and bugs we've squashed in the last 3 weeks since Beta release!
-----
That's all for now! We've been amazed at the incredible support from Beta users, and we absolutely love seeing all the new content being posted on the timeline.
We have some truly exciting things planned for the near future - From new features to larger unlocks... Stick around. We're just getting started.
A New Chapter Begins...
The White Walls Alpha has officially come to an end. Months of hard work and collaborative effort is finally paying off as we enter our next chapter together.

Alpha Log #4
This is it, y'all. The big one. The final Alpha update before we officially enter Beta. We've achieved quite a few things over the past weeks, but we wanted to lump them all into one larger update to set the stage for what's to come.
Let's get into it!
REWORKED INDEXING API
As our early Alpha testers know, the first month or two using White Walls was... a challenge. We had utilized the Opensea API for indexing imagery and token information. This lead to constant crashes and wildly slow loading times for all users - not a great experience for the end user.
We switched to a brand new indexing platform, Simplehash, a few weeks back and the game has entirely changed.
Assets load in milliseconds and the entire experience is buttery smooth. You can load in a wallet with tens of thousands of NFTs in seconds. Truly this is the gamechanger we had needed to make the White Walls experience something that is functional and exciting to use.
Shoutout to Simplehash!
VIDEO SUPPORT V1
We've rolled out our first iteration of video support, allowing you to showcase your gorgeous video files in high definition.
We've got a lot of work to do to finalize our plans for video viewing, but we wanted to at least make sure the base features were unlocked for the early Alpha users!
GENERAL QUALITY OF LIFE UPDATES
We've adjusted a few of the settings and tweaked some minor bugs that may have impacted the general quality of the app or the user flow experience.
A few notable updates:
- Decreased Server Ping: We've lowered the server ping from 7 seconds to 3 seconds. This should make the art pushing and display settings updates feel much more seamless.
- Adjusted Art Push Flow: For users with multiple displays, the flow for pushing a piece of art has been optimized
- Asset Search V1: You can now search through assets in your wallet. A small note here, if you're hoping to search for artwork that is deeper in the wallet, you will need to scroll down first to "load in" those assets. Then you will be able to freely search through them. We will continue to iterate on this.
—
Beta will be rolling out in the coming week(s) and we couldn't be more excited. We'll be introducing a few final features for Beta release 1 that we hope will put a perfect, pretty ribbon on things!
To all of our Alpha testers who have been with us from Day 1 - Thank you for sticking around and helping us build a product that we can be truly proud to release to the world.

Alpha Log #3
As we gear up to bring White Walls to a more public audience, we have taken a good bit of time to re-optimize some previously released features. But, what fun would an update be if it was just about how we made a few old things better? Today we're excited to release our largest update to the infrastructure since Day 1, which will finally allow you to access those vaulted assets you've been dreaming about viewing in your space! Let's get into it.
The v1.2a update focuses on security and infrastructure.
MULTIPLE WALLET SUPPORT
At long last, you can now connect multiple ETH wallets from either your Assets page wallet dropdown or directly from your wallet settings.
WALLET SECURITY
Where we previously maintained an active connection to your wallet, we have rebuilt this process with security in mind. Now, when you verify ownership of a wallet via logging in, we immediately switch to a read-only view of that wallet, pair it with your White Walls account, and disconnect from it entirely.
This not only enhances security, but also the user-friendliness of the overall experience. A big step in the right direction!
DELEGATE (v2) ACCESS
Now, for the main event! We know everybody has been eager to access the incredible work they have vaulted safely in cold storage. Now, when adding any wallet to White Walls, we automatically check for any Delegate wallets that may be associated with the connected wallet and add them to your account by default! Delegate wallets will have a Delegate logo badge so you know which is which.
This furthers our initiative to build with security in mind, and hopefully will heighten the experience for every user as they bring their most coveted assets to their living spaces.
LAYED GROUNDWORK FOR MULTI-CHAIN SUPPORT
This has not yet been rolled out, but all wallet infrastructure work has been done with future support of additional chains in mind. This is wildly exciting and we can't wait to experiment more with SOL, BTC, and XTZ.
RE-OPTIMIZATION
After releasing a majority of the features, we often look back and re-build with the intent of optimizing them further. This past few weeks has been a solid effort to prepare as many of our core viewing features for Beta as possible.
You can expect to see improvements to:
- GIFs: Rebuilt the entire gif support flow from the ground up.
- Info Panel: Fixed character counts, offset, and placement of the Info Panels
- Fit/Fill: Adjusted sizing, offset, and borders for fit/fill across most token sizes
- Vertical Orientation: Adjusted sizing, offset, and borders for vertical and vertical inverted
—
We're rapidly preparing for Beta where we will make White Walls more publicly accessible. We've got a few more exciting features and fixes planned before we get there, but we're closer than we've ever been.
Please have some fun enjoying Delegate access and make sure to share some incredible photos as you appreciate your favorite vaulted pieces!

Alpha Log #2
Since the release of the first Alpha build, we’ve been absolutely amazed and delighted at the instant response from our little, curated community. The pictures on the timeline have brightened each of our days, and it’s incredible to see the early testers enjoying White Walls in their spaces. We still have a ways to go until the Alpha build is complete, but we’re making great progress!
The v1.1a update activates a few exciting new features that we know you’ve been waiting for.
GIF SUPPORT
GIF files are now supported in both fit and fill modes, making even more of your collection readily accessible and viewable. Seeing the motion on your TV is truly remarkable.
VERTICAL ORIENTATION
You can now activate any vertically oriented television, with support for both vertical formats. Apple TVs, oddly enough, don’t offer vertical support natively, so this required a redesign of the user interface and art display.
INFO PANEL
Toggle on the Info Panel to see the name of the artwork, the collection it’s in, the owner’s wallet address, and a QR code linking to the Opensea listing.
EMAIL & PASSWORD UPDATING
Within the settings panel you can now update your account email address and password. Yay security!
FLOW OPTIMIZATION + UPDATES
We’ve made some mild updates to the UI design, as well as continued to work towards the app being more friendly and optimized. There’s a long way left to go on this front, but we’re slowly rolling out changes that will make the experience smoother and cleaner.
IMPLEMENTED ALPHA SUGGESTIONS
We received a great deal of wonderful feedback in the first week, and we have implemented a few of the cosmetic suggestions.
- Changed the share asset icon from an airplane to a link: We heard that the airplane icon made it seem as though you’d be transferring the asset as opposed to sharing a viewing link, so we’ve changed it to something that we hope makes a bit more sense. As a note, this feature is not yet active but we’ll roll that out as we get closer to the beta.
- Moved the placement of the X on single asset view screen: The X to close out of single asset view was directly over the profile button so it was causing users to double tap and end up on their profile. We’ve moved this down into the navigation bar instead to keep it simple.
Thank you so much to the Alphas who have contributed this valuable feedback. We know a majority of the current feedback is functionality-focused, but the cosmetic and design suggestions are definitely appreciated!
—
We had hoped to release this build last week, but made a last second decision to head to Consensus in Austin, TX to sponsor an event and catch the vibes. We can’t wait to continue to show off the app to new users and generate valuable feedback in this crucial time.Enjoy the new features and be sure to tag us in any posts as you enjoy the GIFs and new functionality!
